Let's Try This Again

The title of this post serves two purposes: 1) I want to start this Blog up again and try to maintain, at a minimum, one post per month. Keep me motivated, friends! 2) Stalled Projects at home or work, which is what I will write about today.

How many times do we start something, even if it is just the thought of what you want to do, and then it is pushed aside and left sitting without completion? I am guilty of this in my own personal and professional life with blame being placed on a variety of excuses every time. It wasn't until I spent some time reflecting on what "have I really done" that I realized, "I have not done near as much as I would like or needed to." With that being said, the only excuse for the lack of execution fell back on me!

We can save our time and energy on searching for an excuse by realizing that the responsibility for stalled projects falls squarely on the Leader's shoulders. "Leaders are responsible, always." The sooner we realize this, the quicker we can get to the solution of knowing, and doing, what needs to be done. You can restart these projects by asking yourself, and your team, three questions.

1. What have I (you) done?
2. What can I (you) do next?
3. When can I (you) have the next step done?

Once the project is back up and running, it is up to you to make sure the momentum grows and the project is completed!
